Kasper Lorek graduated from the Cinematography Department at the Polish National Film School in Łódź. In 2023, he received the Creative Award of the Mazovian Voivodeship for achievements in the field of artistic creation and was nominated for the title of Personality of the Year 2023 in the Culture category.
As the cinematographer of The Devil (dir. Jan Bujnowski), he was awarded Best Cinematography at the 16th International Short Film Festival ŻUBROFFKA. The film was showcased at the world’s leading short film festivals, winning a Special Jury Mention at the prestigious Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, as well as the Special Jury Prize and Manifest Award at the Poitiers Film Festival. For The Devil, he was also nominated for the Jan Machulski Award for Best Cinematography.
His feature debut Capo (dir. Robert Kwilman) was selected for the Main Competition of the 50th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia in 2025. In addition to feature work, he also shoots music videos and commercials, with his projects being presented at major international and national festivals — including Camerimage, Oberhausen, the Warsaw Film Festival, Młodzi i Film, New Horizons, Motovun, and Makedox.
